LG continues to update its Gram laptop line each year and the latest product refresh brings a total of five new models, two of which are 2 in 1 convertibles. All come with sleek designs and are powered by Intel’s 11 gen Tiger Lake processors, Iris X GPUs and 16:10 aspect ratio displays.
The largest offering is the 17-inch model
which boasts an IPS panel with 2560 x 1600-pixel resolution. Despite its large
size, the laptop weighs in at 1.35kg which is quite compact for this size. The
standard 14-inch model comes in at 999 grams.
All new Grams come with 8/16GB LPDDR4x RAM
and NVMe SSDs. The 17 and 16-inch models have large 80Wh battery packs which LG
claims are good for up to 19.5 hours of use between charges. The 14-inchers
outfitted with 72Wh cells, which is also among the largest in the class. Port
selection includes two USB 4 Gen 3x2 (USB PD, Thunderbolt 4), two USB 3.2
Gen2x1, an HDMI port, a microSD card reader and a headphone jack.
The 2 in 1 models come in 16-inch and
14-inch sizes and share identical specs to the other models. They do add
support for Wacom AES 2.0 styluses which can be used on the touchscreen
displays protected by Gorilla Glass 6. All new Gram models are MIL-STD-810G
compliant, come with fingerprint readers, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and backlit
keyboards.
LG hasn’t yet confirmed pricing and
availability details but we expect these to be made official next week.
