At the Snapdragon Technology Summit held in Hawaii in December last year, Qualcomm officially released a new generation of flagship chip Snapdragon 888. At the same event, Qualcomm announced that many Android smartphone OEM manufacturers including ASUS, Black Shark, Lenovo, LG, Meizu, Motorola, Nubia, Realme, OnePlus, OPPO, Sharp, VIVO, Xiaomi and ZTE are developing smartphones based on the Snapdragon 888.
Today, Black Shark Technology CEO
announced today on Weibo that something big will happen tomorrow morning. As
you guess, we are dealing with the new flagship phone Black Shark 4. And that’s
not difficult to guess it will sport the Snapdragon 888 processor. Earlier, a
Weibo blogger said the new Black Shark Snapdragon 888 smartphone code-named
“Emperor”, is ready to hit the market. He also pointed out that the design will
be very attractive.
Moreover, the same source said that gaming
phones such as the Black Shark 4 will use 1080P screens with a refresh rate of
144Hz or even higher. Particularly, he said that the 2K high-refresh rate
flexible screens appeared on the Black Shark 3 Pro will not be seen on gaming
phones in the short term. The next-gen Black Shark handset and the Red Magic
and ROG models all will come with only 1080p screens.
Anyways, you all should understand that
the selling point of the Black Shark 4 will be the Snapdragon 888. It uses 1 x
2.84GHz (ARM’s latest Cortex X1 core) + 3 x 2.4GHz (Cortex A78) + 4 x 1.8GHz
(Cortex A55) architecture. Also, it integrates an Adreno 660 GPU and a X60 5G
modem baseband. This SoC supports WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, etc.
By the way, the blogger also provided data
concerning the Black Shark 3 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 11 comparison. In other words,
the Snapdragon 865 Ash Edition was compared with the Snapdragon 888. The screen
parameters of these two are similar. The Black Shark can measure up to 905MHz
during the actual game; the final high-load game average frame rate is 46.2fps;
the average power consumption is 7.2W. The Snapdragon 888 has an average frame
rate of 53.7fps and an average power consumption of 7.5W.
