According to popular Chinese leakster, @DigitalChatStation, the first Honor model after its independence from Huawei will be the Honor V40 Series. However, this series will still have many Huawei traits in it. Of course, we do not expect the changes to be so swift. The Honor V40 series recently hit TENAA’s database. The listing shows that this device comes with a Huawei HW-110600C0x charger that supports up to 66W.
This smartphone uses a pump fast charge
and it runs on the Android system. Furthermore, @DigitalChatStation claims that
the Kirin model of this phone has been cut leaving only the Dimensity model.
However, speculations out of China claim that this device will use four
different flagship chips from four manufacturers. In the coming weeks, we
expect more information regarding this series.
As of now, there is not much information
regarding the Honor V40 series. However, if the recent leak is true, then the
company is preparing something interesting. According to a leak on Weibo, the
Honor V40 series will have four models. The interesting part of the leak is
that all four models will use different flagship processors from different
manufacturers. This will be the first time that a single series will use as
many as four different flagship chips from different manufacturers.
According to the leak, the Honor V40 will come with a Dimensity 1000+ SoC. In addition, there will be an Honor V40 Pro which will use Samsung’s Exynos 1080. Furthermore, the Honor V40 Pro+ will use Snapdragon 888 while the Honor V40 Commemorative Edition will come with Huawei’s Kirin 9000. The leak is also a poll thus we are not entirely certain how the poster got a hold of the information. As of now, we can not verify this information thus we employ you to take it with a pinch of salt. Furthermore, there is no confirmation that the U.S. will allow Honor to use American technology.
Thus, we can not guarantee
that Honor can use Dimensity, Exynos, and Snapdragon chips. In addition, the
Kirin 9000 SoC is barely enough for the Huawei Mate 40 series and other planned
flagship. It is most unlikely that Huawei will have some units to sell to Honor
for its V40 series. All these are just some questions that beg for answers.
