Russian-based company Caviar has a reputation for making luxury versions of famous tech gadgets. MacRumors reported that it will be available for USD 108,000 sometime in 2021. The image posted by Caviar shows that it will come in two colorways: white and black. Allegedly, each color will be offered "in a single piece worldwide". This can mean that the headphones will be very exclusive.
Caviar explained that the pure gold design
"looks elegant, emphasizing the status of the owners and their impeccable
taste," and is for people who "want to always be on top." To
recall, Apple just launched the AirPods Max this month, sporting a price tag of
PHP 32,990. At the heart of the headphones is a 40mm Apple-designed dynamic
driver that works with the H1 chip in each cup that features up to 10 audio
cores that is capable of 9 billion operations per second. It results in a
'breakthrough' listening experience that includes the aforementioned Adaptive
EQ, Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency Mode, and Spatial audio.
The internal battery is rated for up to 20
hours of continuous high-fidelity audio, talk-time, or movie playback with
Active Noise Cancellation enabled. It is charged via the Lightning connector.
It features Digital Crowns that are similar to the Digital Crowns on the Apple
Watch. These Digital Crowns control volume levels, play, and pause, Siri, and
others.
