Zepp is the latest smart wearable brand in Huami’s portfolio and the newest product in its lineup is the Zepp Z smartwatch. The Zepp brand is catered to the more premium smartwatch segment and makes use of fancier materials.
The Zepp Z features a brushed
titanium casing with a brown leather strap. We have a circular 1.39-inch AMOLED
display with 454 x 454 pixels and always-on functionality. There are three
buttons on the side. The health key sits up top and acts as a shortcut to
measure your heart rate, blood oxygen levels or stress levels. There’s the
crown element in the middle for navigating the interface which also features
haptic feedback.
You can track up to 12 sports
modes with the Zepp Z as well as your heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, sleep
and stress levels. There's built-in GPS and GLONASS, Alex voice assistant and
over 50 watch faces. Other features include Bluetooth 5.0 LE and 5ATM water
resistance.
The watch boasts a 340 mAh
battery which is rated at over two weeks of endurance which is presumably with
a power saver mode. It charges over a proprietary magnetic charging pad which
ends in a USB-A connector and a full charge takes 2.5 hours. The Zepp Z
smartwatch retails for US$ 349 in the US and is on sale via the company’s website.
There’s no information on when it will make its way to more markets just yet.
