Xiaomi Mi Notebook 14 e-learning edition

Xiaomi's latest notebook is aimed at people studying or working from home in these pandemic times. It's a stripped-down version of the vanilla Mi Notebook 14 called Mi Notebook 14 e-learning edition.

It's still an all-aluminum laptop tipping the scale at 1.5kg and measuring about 18mm in thickness. The device is powered by Intel's 10th Generation Core i3-10110U (2.1 GHz dual-core, boost up to 4.1 GHz) CPU and no discrete GPU, you'd have to rely on the built-in UHD Graphics 620. There are no other configurations at this time. On the memory front, we have 8GB of DDR4 RAM and 256GB of SATA SSD.

As the name implies, the notebook carries a 14-inch IPS LCD panel and unlike the vanilla Mi Notebook, this one has a webcam positioned at the top bezel. All that hardware is powered by a 46Wh battery promising about 10 hours of normal usage with support for fast charging. Xiaomi says you can get back 50% of the juice back in just 35 minutes.

Other notable features include a keyboard with scissor switches offering 1.3mm travel, which are also dust-protected by a thin layer beneath the keyboard. There are DTS-tuned stereo loudspeakers and you can unlock your notebook with your Mi Band.

On the connectivity side the Mi Notebook 14 e-learning edition offers HDMI, two USB 3.1 ports, a USB 2.0 port and a 3.5mm audio jack. The laptop costs INR 34,999 (US$ 470) in India and as we said, it comes in just one flavor - Core i3-10110U, Intel UHD Graphics 620, 256GB of internal storage and 8GB of DDR4 memory.
