Realme RMX3063

2020 has been a rough year for most smartphone companies due to the disruption caused by COVID-19. This brought a great impact during the first two quarters of the year. However, during the last quarter, some brands started to experience a recovery in the segment. Among the companies who achieved good results last quarter, we have Realme. The fastest-growing brand, once again, ended the third quarter with positive numbers thanks to its ever-growing smartphone portfolio. Just recently, the company unveiled its Realme 7 series and Realme X7 series. However, a new certification at FCC suggests that there still one more device coming before the end of the year.

A mysterious handset appeared on FCC certification sporting model number RMX3063. Unfortunately, the listing does not reveal the phone’s marketing name but shows some of the key specifications. Moreover, the FCC document brings a schematic diagram of the device which reveals a square-shaped camera module on the back. This camera aspect seems to be a new trend for Realme smartphones, that this year, have left the horizontal design behind. The square comprises three cameras in total and an LED flash.

Interestingly, the schematics of the phone reveals some huge similarities between the new model and the Realme C15 released a couple of months ago. The listing also reveals that the phone has a battery model BLP729 with 4,880mAh capacity. The very same battery model is present on the Realme 5i that is marketed with a 5,000mAh capacity. So it’s safe to assume that the upcoming device will pack a typical 5,000mAh capacity. Obviously, the Realme RMX3063 will run Realme UI 1.0 based on Android 10. This hints at an imminent launch. After all, we don’t think Realme will be releasing phones without Android 11 in 2021. Other features confirmed by FCC are Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE connectivity, and GPS.

Worth noting that this isn’t the first time we hear about the Realme RMX3063. The device already appeared on EEC, TKDN, and Sertifikasi certifications. This basically confirms the device as a global smartphone. Unfortunately, the details are scarce right now, but we expect more to come in the coming days. The handset probably will be a budget smartphone just like the Realme C15. The C15 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 SoC, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of Storage. However, it brings a bigger 6,000mAh battery and a Quad-Camera setup.
