Nokia recently signed a new brand licensing deal with StreamView to bring new Nokia Smart TVs and Android Streaming Box to Europe. Now the company has reportedly introduced Nokia Streaming Box 8000, which is its new Android TV box with 4K support.
It supports 4K resolution output,
dual-band Wi-Fi, as well as Bluetooth
4.2 and comes with built-in Google Chromecast. It has HDMI, Ethernet, USB 3.0,
USB Type-C, optical audio output and an AV-out socket. The USB 3.0 socket is on
the side to plug in USB sticks or external hard drives easily. No details about
the processor, RAM or storage yet.
The remote control has 5-way navigation
buttons, shortcuts buttons for YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video and Play Movies.
The remote is also backlit. It comes with HDMI cable in the box. The Streaming
Box 8000 is expected to cost about € 99 (US$ 117) when it
goes on sale in Europe in December, sometime before Christmas.
