HMD unveiled the Nokia 8.3 5G back in March and now the company is introducing a special version for Verizon dubbed Nokia 8 V 5G. The big change is that the 8 V 5G supports the carrier’s mmWave 5G as well as the slower but more widely available sub-6GHz standard. Other than that the smartphone is identical to the regular Nokia 8.3 5G.
You get a 6.81-inch IPS LCD of FHD+
resolution with a punch-hole cutout in the top left corner. The camera setup
includes a 64MP primary shooter alongside a 12MP ultrawide snapper and two 2MP
sensors for macro shots and depth data.
The Snapdragon 765 chipset is paired with
6GB RAM and 64GB storage, no 8/128GB option like on the regular 8.3 sold in
other markets. The battery comes in at 4,500 mAh and supports 18W charging. The
Nokia 8.3 V 5G UW will retail for US$ 699 once sales begin November 12 across
Verizon as well as Best Buy. There’s a single Meteor Gray color option for now.
