The iQOO brand is mostly made up of powerful devices, but there are some more affordable models too – those are part of the U-series. It seems that pretty soon the iQOO V2054A will be joining them, after being added to the TENAA database. This could become the first iQOO U phone with 5G, as the other two have only LTE connectivity. Previously, TENAA detailed the V2019A, an "iQOO U1 with 5G", but that is yet to see the light of day.
Anyway, back to the V2054A. The phone has
a 6.58” display, an LCD, with 1080p+ resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. The
design of the back is inspired by the vivo X50 Pro with one big camera lens on
top and smaller cam modules below (several vivos have adopted this design).
But there’s no gimbal camera here, in
fact, the camera on the V2054A is quite basic. It has a 13 MP main camera and a
2 MP helper module and that’s it. The good news is that the phone can record 4K
video. The iQOO U1x, for example, has a 13+2+2 MP camera that tops out at
1080p/30 fps. The selfie cam has an 8 MP sensor.
The phone will launch with Android 11 out
of the box, running on an unknown chipset (octa-core CPU at 2.0 GHz). Memory
configurations include 4, 6 and 8 GB of RAM while storage appears locked at 128
GB (with no card slot for expansion). The phone is powered by a 4,910 mAh
battery. Once this model shows up in 3C listings we’ll know the charging speed
too. The V2019A has a slightly smaller battery and an 18W charger.
