The United States managed to make Huawei’s life a lot more difficult, and it even had to sell Honor. Still, there is some encouraging news for the Chinese company. So, this week Qualcomm officially confirmed that it received a license from the US authorities, giving the green light for the supply of chips to Huawei.
True, we are talking exclusively about
processors with support for 4G only; But Huawei should now grab every
opportunity to survive. Therefore, it will gladly agree to buy Qualcomm 4G
chips, and there is already information about which batch of processors will be
purchased first.
We are talking about the Snapdragon 460
chip, which will be installed in the Huawei Enjoy 20e. This is a fairly new and
fresh SoC from Qualcomm, created using an 11-nanometer process technology. It
has eight Kryo 240 processor cores with a peak frequency of 1.8 GHz and an
Adreno 610 video accelerator.
It is known that Huawei Enjoy 20e will
offer 4/6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, a 5000 mAh battery with 10W charging
power and an HD+ screen. The device is a budget smartphone, so it is not
surprising that it will be enclosed in a plastic case. The price tag for Huawei
Enjoy 20e can start at US$ 183.
