OPPO A15 and A15s


The OPPO A15 is an upcoming entry-level smartphone from OPPO. Amazon recently began teasing its arrival in India. It appears that a couple of other Asian markets will also receive the OPPO A15 as it has been approved by certification bodies of Thailand and Indonesia.

Recently, an OPPO phone with model number CPH2185 was approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). It revealed a few details of the smartphone such as a 4,230mAh battery, 10W charging support, USB-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Apart from these details, the FCC documents also carried a schematic of the phone that revealed that it has a square-shaped camera module with three lenses and an LED flash inside it. It also revealed that the phone is flanked with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner.

After that, Amazon India released a teaser of the OPPO A15 phone in India. The poster shared by the retailer giant showcased the rear design of the smartphone. Since it resembled the CPH2185 phone, it was speculated that this device could be arriving in the Indian market as the OPPO A15.

The rumor has now turned out to be true since Thailand’s NBTC certification (spotted by MySmartPrice) has revealed that the CPH2185 model number indeed belongs to the OPPO A15 phone. An Indonesian Telecom certification platform has also certified the OPPO A15. The handset heading to the European markets since it has also received EEC approval in the past.

Shown above is a tweet from a leakster who has revealed the existence of another device called the OPPO A15s. The images shared shows that the OPPO A15s that has a CPH2179 model number has received approval from EEC and IMDA. There is no information on the specs of the OPPO A15s smartphone.
