A few days back, we spotted the Lazada listing of the Huawei Y7a. Earlier, the tech giant sent media invites confirming that the handset will be announced in the Philippines on October 29. The company also shared on its official YouTube page that its public launch via Livestream will be on October 30, 2020 at 4PM.
To recall, the Huawei Y7a is
the company's newest budget smartphone sporting a trendy Huawei Nova 7 SE
5G-looking glass-like back design and camera hump. In front, it is one of the
first Huawei phones to sport a center-aligned punch-hole to house the selfie
camera. In particular, it uses a 6.67-inch FHD+ 20:9 IPS screen with an 8MP
f/2.0 front snapper.
Inside, the handset is quite
speedy as well. It is powered by the 14nm 2.2GHz Kirin 710A octa-core processor
with Mali-G51 MP4 GPU, 4GB RAM, 128GB expandable storage via microSD slot,
5,000mAh battery with USB-C 22.5W SuperCharge, 48MP main + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP
macro + 2MP depth quad-cam with LED flash, WiFi, 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth
5.1, GPS, dual SIM slots.
Similar to most new Huawei
smartphones, the device loads with EMUI 10.1 skin based on Android 10 OS with
Huawei Mobile Services and AppGallery. The device is expected to retail at
around PHP 10K.
