Back in March, Huawei announced their Sound X speaker, which was co-developed in partnership with French luxury audio manufacturer, Devialet. Now, they are come with a smaller sibling to the speaker, named simply the Huawei Sound, featuring a similar design, 360-degree sound, and Devialet’s signature 4-speaker Acoustic Design.
This time, contained within
the body of the Huawei Sound are 3 full-range speakers, 1 woofer and 2 passive
units, giving it a frequency response of 55 hz ~ 40 Khz. Similar to the Sound
X, the Sound’s two SAM powered passive units are in a “Push-Push” configuration,
which provides for Users can choose between four sound effects – Hi-Fi, Vocal,
Devialet SPACE Soundstage and bass.
Regarding connectivity, it
supports both WLAN 2.4GHz and 5GHz, 3.5 mm AUX-in, Bluetooth 5.0, along with
support for Sony’s LDAC for high quality lossless audio transmission. The
speaker features Huawei Share, which allows users to quickly connect their
smartphone to their speaker via NFC. It measures in at 147x 186.6mm and weighs
about 2.2kgs.
The Huawei Sound will go sale
in Europe for a price of € 199 (US$ 235)
