Along with the many other laptops that Acer announced today, they also their first Chromebooks that feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c compute platform, which include the the convertible Acer Chromebook Spin 513 and Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 513. Acer also introduced the Acer Book RS, which was designed in collaboration with Porsche Design.
Both the two new Chromebooks,
that is the Chromebook Spin 513 and Chromebook Enterprise Spin 513 feature the
Snapdragon 7c compute platform with an 8 nm octa-core Qualcomm® Kryo 468 CPU.
The laptops feature Corning Gorilla Glass protected 13.3-inch full HD IPS
touchscreen display, up to 8 GB LPDDR4X SDRAM and up to 128 GB of storage.
The laptops have 802.11ac
Wi-Fi with 2×2 MIMO technology and optional 4G LTE built-in, two full-function
USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports with support for DisplayPort over USB-C and USB
charging, a USB 3.2 Type-A port, and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. The Chromebook
Enterprise Spin 513 specifically has
extra security and enterprise capabilities such as zero-touch enrollment for IT
departments.
The Porsche Design Acer Book
RS has an compact all-metal diamond-cut CNC-machined chassis with a 3k carbon
fiber cover, and weighs in at 1.25 kg. For its internals, it has the 11th Gen
Intel Core i7 processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics and optional discrete
NVIDIA GeForce MX350 GPUs, with 16 GB of RAM. It comes with a 14-inch FHD IPS
touchscreen that is covered with a layer of Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass
and it has a rated battery life of 17 hours.
