In just a couple of days the vivo V20 series grew to three models and now TENAA suggests there are a couple of new member waiting on the sidelines. We don’t know their actual marketing names yet, but V2031A does very much look like it will be part of the V20 series.
Like
the V20 Pro and V20 SE, this model has a 6.44” AMOLED display with 1,080 x
2,400 px resolution. The camera setup, however, has been scaled back,
suggesting that this will be the entry-level model of the series.
The
triple rear cam consists of a 48MP main module, 8 MP secondary (likely
ultrawide) and a 2MP helper. This matches the V20 SE setup, though the position
of the LED flash is slightly different. The selfie camera has a 16MP sensor
compared to 32MP on the SE and 44MP on the V20 Pro. The V2031A is powered by an
octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. It comes with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and
128GB storage (no microSD slot). Whatever the chipset is, it is 5G-enabled.
Battery
capacity is listed as 4,020 mAh, which matches the other V20 phones. While the
others support 33W fast charging, this one will come with an 18W charger
(according to the 3C). vivo has another model in the works, V2034A. This one
only has 4G connectivity and a larger 6.52” display to go with the bigger 4,910
mAh battery. This will be in a lower class, though given the similar design
it’s entirely possible that it too will bear the V20 name.
The
display is downgraded to 720 x 1,6000 px resolution (still an AMOLED panel) and
the rear camera is a basic combo of 13 + 2 + 2 MP. The selfie cam goes down to
an 8 MP sensor. The unknown chipset features eight cores at 2.0 GHz, the phone
will come in several configurations – with 4GB, 6GB and 8GB RAM. Storage is
64Gb or 128GB, the latter likely tied to the highest RAM capacity.
There's
no indication of when these two vivo phones will be unveiled, but given their
likely position in the food chain, they may be destined for a quiet launch.
