Originally only available for Postpaid
users at PHP 699 per month, telco giant Smart Communications Inc. earlier
shared that the Smart Bro LTE-A pocket WiFi is now available for Prepaid
subscribers. The Hyun Bin endorsed device looks slightly different from the
Postpaid version with a larger display, but the functions and features appear
to be similar.
The new LTE-A pocket WiFi is also said to
be 2x faster than traditional pocket WiFis due to its use of carrier
aggregation technology. It enables the device to combine multiple signals from
different cell sites for an improved data connection. The device can also
connect up to 10 WiFi-ready smartphones, tablets, or laptops. With this, users
won't need to use their phones as WiFi hotspots anymore that drain data and
battery faster. Smart is also highlighting that with this pocket WiFi, users
can avail of the GIGA VIDEO PRO 199 with 6GB open data + 3GB VIDEO EVERY DAY
for YouTube, NBA, iWant, Cignal Play (Total 21GB) for 7 days.
