Huawei continues designing
‘non-smartphone’ products. Today, it released the Huawei FreeGo portable
Bluetooth speaker following the schedule. The latter supports one-touch
transmission. Its price is 899 yuan (US$ 132). The design of the Huawei FreeGo
portable Bluetooth speakers is inspired by a phonograph. It is available in
obsidian black and bright moon silver colors. The size is small and compact,
only 120mm x 31mm. So it is quite easy to store and carry.
The Huawei FreeGo adopts a unique
frequency division design. Both units are made of high-end permanent magnet
ammonium iron boron rare earth materials. The material of the diaphragm is also
quite particular. The low-frequency unit is made of aluminum alloy sounding diaphragm.
It provides amazing sound performance. At the same time, the high-frequency
unit is made of a high-end silk diaphragm, which makes the sound delicate and
soft. The Huawei FreeGO is professionally tuned, with DRC dynamic compression
algorithm and vocal EQ adjustment. The sound is loud and not distorted.
Apart from all the abovementioned
features, the Huawei FreeGo supports NFC touch to realize quick Bluetooth
pairing. Undoubtedly, this making connections easy and convenient. As said at
the beginning of the article, this speaker supports one-touch sound
transmission. So no matter you are making a call, listening to a song, or
watching a movie, the sound can be released from the speaker when the phone
touches the speaker.
Our protagonist also supports 360°
omnidirectional sound pickup. It comes with a 3-meter pickup range, which can
cover 25 square meters of indoor space. The use of dual-microphone closed
cavity design, combined with the AEC adaptive echo suppression algorithm,
effectively suppresses echo. It supports full-duplex intercom technology. So
voice communication is as clear and smooth as face-to-face.
The Huawei FreeGo can be connected to the
computer through the supporting data cable, without pairing. This could be also
used for charging the speaker. When fully charged, it will provide up to 10
hours of battery life. What’s more interesting, it supports fast charging. So
15 minutes of charging will deliver two hours of listening.
