GoPro today revealed its newest action
camera—the HERO9 Black and it is now available for purchase in the Philippines.
The HERO9 Black boast a new design and significant upgrade in resolution for
stills and videos, battery, stabilization, and more. Of course, it is still a
rugged camera with up to 10 meters water resistance.
Coming from the HERO8 Black with 12MP
photos, the new HERO9 Black can now shoot up to 20MP stills. The killer
feature? It now shoots up to 5K resolution videos at 30fps. The device also has
the ability to shoot up to 4K 60fps and below. Also, the front lens cover is
back and there is an option to try the "Max Lens" mod for a wider
frame and horizontal leveling regardless of the camera's orientation. Aside
from the Max Lens, it also supports the Display Mod, Media Mod, and Light Mod.
It also boasts the next-generation
HyperSmooth 3.0 video stabilization with in-camera horizon leveling, Timewarp
3.0, Webcam mode, up to 8x Slo-Mo up to 240fps, and more. The camera also has 3
microphones in total with advanced wind noise reduction. It also supports voice
control with 14 commands available in 11 languages and 6 accents.
The company also improved on the screen as
its front display now offers a full color panel for previewing shots. The back
2.27-inch back touch screen is bigger than the 1.95-inch of the previous gen
Black. For battery, it sports a removable 1,720mAh cell that is 40 percent
bigger than the HERO8 for up to 30 percent more battery life.
GoPro HERO9 Black price is PHP 26,490. The
new GoPro HERO9 Black is now available at select partner retailers including
Abenson, Camerahaus, Colours Foto, Electroworld, Henry’s Cameras, iBook, Inbox
Store, Infomax, Mobilio, TechPro Unlimited, and Timeline.
