Earlier this week Huami confirmed that it will introduce GTS 2 and GTR 2 smartwatches, successor of last year’s GTS and GTR. Both these will have a curved AMOLED screen and a metal casing. The GTS 2 has a new design with a protruding part that wraps on the sides of the crown. The company has teased standalone music playback feature for the smartwatches.
These will support blood oxygen
dedication, and it employs 4 clusters of green, red, and infrared LEDs, similar
to the Apple Watch Series 6 that was introduced earlier this week. The
smartwaches will also support smart voice assistant function that will work
offline. Back in June the company announced blood oxygen engine OxygenBeats
that eliminates signal noise, and improves the measurement accuracy by up to
50% since it uses multiple sets of oxygen detection values.
This will also use sleep engine SomnusCare
that will help users understand sleep status and quality through
multi-dimensional data, and the sleep detection accuracy has improved 80%, and
it can detect nap data over 25 minutes with nearly 100% accuracy. We should
know all the details including the price when the smartwaches go official next
week.
