Realme X7 series is arriving on Tuesday
and we expect two phones - a vanilla Realme X7 and a mightier Realme X7 Pro.
Today reports from China claim there is going to be a third version, dubbed
Realme X7 Pro Player that will have a Snapdragon 860 chipset, as opposed to the
Dimensity 1000+ in the regular Pro.
Yes, the image does say Qualcomm
Snapdragon 860 - it is an unofficial chipset that will likely be unveiled
alongside the device. It appears the new platform will be a middle ground
between Snapdragon 855 and Snapdragon 865.
This isn’t the first time Realme has
launched a Player Version of its phones, although it would be a first to have a
new chip. The X50 Pro 5G flagship, introduced in February, had an updated
version for gamers with improved cooling and extra layers for better heat
dissipation - it was simply called X50 Pro Player and never escaped China.
