HMD Global has scheduled an event for
August 25 to launch Nokia 5.3 in India. Now, according to a new leak, the
company may also unveil Nokia C3 for the country at the same. For those
unaware, it is an entry-level smartphone, which made its debut earlier this
month in China.
The news regarding the launch of Nokia C3
in India comes from NokiaPowerUser. A reader of the blog had shared a picture
of the handset’s poster for offline retailers. This poster not only highlights
the specs of the phone but also reveals that it will come with a one-year
replacement guarantee.
As for specifications, the Nokia C3 is
powered by a 1.2GHz 28nm UNISOC SC9863A octa-core processor paired with 3GB RAM
and 32GB internal storage. It features a 5.99-inch HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) 18:9
LCD panel on the front without a notch or punch-hole. Hence, the 8MP selfie
camera sits at the top bezel, whereas the bottom chin houses the Nokia branding.
Other features of this phone include 8MP
primary camera, fingerprint sensor, dedicated key for Google Assistant, microSD
card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, MicroUSB port, 3,040mAh battery, and Android
10. It comes in two colors (Nordic Blue/Sand Gold) and costs 699 yuan
(US$ 101/₹ 7,569) in China.
