Lenovo achieved great success in the
gaming scene with its Legion range of gaming laptops. This year, the company
even made its entrance in the gaming smartphone range with a Legion smartphone.
Now, the company’s focus is back on the laptop segment. After a couple of
teasers, the company officially unveiled the Legion 5i, Legion 5Pi, and Legion
7i gaming laptops in India. The gaming products are up for order on the Lenovo
online store. In the coming days, users will be able to find them across
offline and retail stores in the country. Without further ado, let’s dive into
the new device specifications.
The first gaming laptop is the Legion 5i.
It comes as the cheapest gaming notebook launch by India and has a starting
price of INR 79,990 (US$ 1,072). Under the hood, the laptop boasts the Intel Core
i7-10750H processor paired with up to 6GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2060 GPU and 16GB
of DDR4 RAM with 2,993Hz operating frequency. Buyers can opt between 1TB PCIe
SSD or a 1TB 7,200RPM HDD for storage.
All the variants sport a 15.6-inch FHD IPS
LCD display. However, there is a particular option with a 144Hz refresh rate,
100% sRGB color gamut, and 300 nits maximum brightness. Other features include
Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 6 support. As far as interface is concerned, the laptop
sports 4 x USB Type-A 3.1 Gen 1 ports, 1 x USB Type-C 3.1 with DisplayPort, 1 x
HDMI 2.0, 1 x RJ45, 3.5mm headphone jack. The laptop also has two 2W Harman
Kardon speakers, a 720p webcam, and up to 80Whr battery.
The Lenovo Legion 5Pi, obviously, is more
expensive than the previous laptop. Its starting price is INR 1,34,990 ~ US$ 1810.
The gaming laptop shares its entire specifications with the previous model. The
Legion 5Pi, however, starts with a better configuration. Not a big surprise
since it’s more expensive. The 5Pi will be available in the next month, which
is a little bit surprising. That’s a contrast over the 5i and the 7i which are
already on sale on Lenovo’s website.
The Lenovo Legion 7i is the most high-end
offering coming from Lenovo today. It’s starting price is quite expensive at US$ 2,682. Under the hood, the laptop boasts the Intel Core i9 H series chipset.
It comes with up to 32GB of 2,993MHz DDR4 RAM, 8GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2080
Super Max-Q GPU. It also is paired with up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage.
The tablet features a 15.6-inch IPS LCD
screen with FHD resolution. It has a 500nits of peak brightness, 144Hz refresh
rate, and 100% sRGB color gamut. The laptop is available with Wi-Fi 6 and
Bluetooth 5.0 standards. Other features include 3 x USB Type-A 3.1 gen 1 port,
1 x USB Type-C 3.1 with Thunderbolt / DisplayPort / HDMI, 1 x USB Type-C 3.1
Gen with Display Port 1.4, 1 x HDMI 2.0. The laptop also has a 3.5mm headphone
jack and an RJ45 port. It draws power from an 80Whr battery, two 2W Dolby Atmos
speakers, and a 720p webcam.
