BLU has just launched its newest unlocked
smartphone in the US market, the G90 Pro. We have to say, we didn't expect the
name itself to make perfect sense, but it does: the phone is powered by
MediaTek's Helio G90T chipset.
In a mobile world dominated by impossibly
complicated naming schemes, this is a breath of fresh air indeed. Then again,
there's also a BLU G90, announced back in June, only that one has the Helio A25
SoC at the helm.
Anyway, name shenanigans aside, the G90
Pro has a 6.5-inch 1080x2340 LCD touchscreen with 19:9 aspect ratio, 4GB of
RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, and a 5,100 mAh battery with 18W fast wired
charging and 10W wireless charging support. With the bundled 18W charger, the
battery goes from zero to 50% in 45 minutes.
The quad rear camera system consists of a
48 MP main, an 8 MP 120-degree ultrawide, a 2 MP macro cam, and a 2 MP depth
sensor. For selfies you get a 32 MP shooter inside a teardrop notch. The BLU
G90 Pro runs Android 10, has dual-SIM support, and is available in just one
color version: Purple Haze.
You can pick one up right now from Amazon
for just US$ 199.99 for a limited time, after which the price goes up by US$ 50. You
also get a free "Gaming Protective Case" in the box.
