The Xiaomi Mi TV Stick has been in the
news a lot lately but the streaming stick is yet to get an official launch. A
few weeks ago, we reported that the device is available for pre-order on
AliExpress. Now, a listing has been spotted on the Xiaomi Portugal online
store.
The listing shows the Mi TV Stick will
retail for €39.99 in the Old Continent. The price tag is for the 1080p version
which has 1GB RAM and 8GB of storage. Unfortunately, you still cannot order it
but you can signup to be notified once it is available.
The Mi TV Stick runs Android TV 9.0 and is
powered by a quad-core Cortex-A53 processor. The spec sheet shows it has
Bluetooth 4.2 and dual-band Wi-Fi. There is Dolby Audio and DTS and it supports
MP3, WMA, AAC, Flac, and OGG audio formats.
The Xiaomi Mi TV Stick has an HDMI port
and a MicroUSB port for power. The description says it will come with Netflix
and Amazon Prime Video out of the box. The remote is also shown to have
dedicated buttons for the two streaming platforms.
According to the listings on AliExpress,
the Mi TV Stick will begin shipping from July 20. Based on this info, the
launch should happen soon.
