VinSmart, a subsidiary of Vietnam
Vingroup, announced that it has partnered with Qualcomm to produce Vietnam’s
first 5G smartphone, the Vsmart Aris 5G. The Vsmart Aris 5G belongs to the
high-end segment. It come with an 8GB RAM, Snapdragon 765 chip, 4000mAh
battery, 128GB ROM, and support 5G Sub 6 GHz network. Besides, the Vsmart Aris
5G also sports a triple-camera (48MP + 8MP + 2MP), arranged in a square camera cluster.
In terms of design, this model uses a
monolithic metal frame, a water-drop screen with 6.39 inches. This Super AMOLED
screen has a Full HD+ (2,340 x 1,080) resolution. Currently, VinSmart has not
announced the price.
According to the official introduction,
the Vsmart Aris 5G is the first in the world to use a modular design platform
that allows flexible hardware design. Also, it shortens product development
time and supports most of the frequency bands used in markets around the world.
This important feature will bring many advantages to VinSmart’s global business
strategy in the future.
Compared to previous generations of
Vsmart, the Vsmart Aris 5G pays special attention to security. It integrates
the Quantis QRNG security chip, developed by VinSmart in cooperation with IDQ
Company (Switzerland). As the company claims, this chip uses quantum computing
technology to generate real random number sequences. So it has better security
than solutions using algorithms to generate pseudo-random numbers. It helps in
improving high level of safety and confidentiality for phone data, especially
banking, personal finance, and medical data.
In terms of 5G speed on the Vsmart Aris
5G, Nguyen Phi Tuyen – Director of Measurement Center, Department of
Telecommunications (Ministry of Information and Communications) said that the
latest smartphone model of VinSmart has 8 times higher speed when comparing to
the 4G thanks to the use of Sub6 band. It is expected that the 5G access speed
of the Vsmart Aris 5G will continue to improve when VinSmart applies the mmWave
band in the near future.
Besides self-researching and producing
both hardware and software, VinSmart also confirmed that it will soon create a
5G ‘make in Vietnam’ ecosystem. In the coming time, VinSmart will continue to
research and perfect next-generation 5G products. Vsmart-branded 5G phones will
be able to support both 5G technologies today, Sub6 and mmWave. With the launch
of the Vsmart Aris 5G, VinSmart has also become the first Vietnamese company to
successfully produce a terminal supporting 5G technology.
