Huawei Philippines also launched the Sound X. Huawei Sound X is the first
high-end Smart Speaker from the Chinese tech giant. Huawei claimed that this
can deliver a "life-altering" impression on the listener.
The speaker uses a beautifully crafted
body in Starry Night colorway that won the 2020 German iF Design Award. The
speaker comes in an oval-shaped body that reminds us of the Apple HomePod in
terms of design. It also has a colorful LED display on top, a glossy black
colored body, and a 360-degree wraparound grille.
The Huawei Sound X is designed in
partnership with French audio specialists Devialet. It boasts a 65W 6x 1.5-inch
full-frequency speakers and 2x 3.5-inch subwoofer to deliver rich tones and
thumping bass response with a frequency range of 40Hz to 40kHz and 360-degree
sound. It also uses signal processing SAM "Speaker Active Matching
technology" to minimize sound distortion and the "Push-Push"
technology to cancel out vibrations while still providing powerful bass.
The speaker is powered by the 1.5GHz
MediaTek MT8512 quad-core processor with 512MB RAM, 8GB storage, Bluetooth 5.0,
and WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz/5GHz) 2x2. The speaker also comes with NFC
OneHome audio-sharing that can pair the speaker to the smartphone in just a
tap. It also has gesture controls and EMUI 10.0 multi-device control
panel. Just place your hand on top of
the Sound X and it will quiet down.
Generally, the speaker designed to provide
low-latency and lossless audio that even audiophiles will like. It measures at
203 x 165 mm and weighs at 3.5 kg. The Huawei Sound X is priced at PHP 19,990.
