Huawei's 65W Gallium Nitride and 66W
Chargers are now certified by the China Compulsory Certificate (3C) for use in
the Chinese market. It Home and
GizmoChina reports that two of the power adapters from Huawei has passed the
China Compulsory Certificate (3C). From the above screenshot of the 3C listing,
Huawei may be bringing a new 65W GaN and a 66W charger soon.
As of now, Huawei does not have a
smartphone that supports 66W power rating but the 66W charger from the 3C
listing supports 40W charging output (10V/4A). This makes the new charger
compatible with Huawei's current 40W SuperCharger protocols.
There is no official confirmation yet from
Huawei on when this charger will arrive. Earlier this year, Huawei announced a
65W dual-port GaN charger alongside the P40 series. Huawei could announce the
66W charger alongside the Mate 40 series later this year.
