On July 2, Honor unveiled the Honor 30
Lite (Youth Edition) 5G smartphone in China. As scheduled, the first sale of
the handset was carried in the homeland today. With a pricing of 1,699 Yuan
(US$ 242), it is the cheapest 5G-ready Honor branded phone available in the
market.
The Honor 30 Lite (Youth Edition) 5G comes
in three variants in China such as 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 128 GB
storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. They are priced at 1,699 Yuan (US$ 242),
1,899 Yuan (US$ 270), and 2,199 Yuan (US$ 313). The phone comes in four colors such
as Magic Night Black, Wizard of Oz (Green), Summer Rainbow, and Phantom Silver.
The Honor 30 Lite 5G is a Dimensity 800
powered handset that comes with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. The phone
boots to Magic UI 3.1.1 based Android 10 OS. There is a hybrid SIM slot onboard
for expanding the storage. Honor has included support for 22.5W rapid charging
for the phone’s 4,000mAh battery.
The IPS LCD panel of 6.5 inches available
on the smartphone has a waterdrop notch. The screen not only supports Full HD+
resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, but also offers up to 90Hz refresh rate. For
shooting selfies, the Honor 30 Youth Edition 5G offers users with a
front-facing camera of 16-megapixel. The rear-facing rectangle camera module
comprises of an f/1.8 aperture 48-megapixel main shooter, an ultrawide lens of
8-megapixel, and a depth assist lens of 2-megapixel. The phone supports 4K
video shooting, EIS, and Super Night Mode. The Honor 30 Lite 5G also features a
side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
