Samsung has announced a new curved monitor
as part of its Odyssey lineup, called the Odyssey G7 gaming monitor. It comes
in two sizes – 27-inches and 32-inches, features a 240HZ panel with 1ms
response time and is known to be the world’s first curved gaming monitor with a
1000R curvature.
A 1000R curvature is quite extreme,
considering the average curved monitor has an 1800R curve. Pairing this with a
resolution of 2,560×1,440, 16:9 aspect ratio, 600 cd/m2 peak brightness,
quantum dot technology, 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms GTG response time, the
gaming experience should be quite great.
Other features include NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatibility and Adaptive Sync.
The Odyssey G7 is priced at 900,000 won for 32-inch and 800,000 won for
27-inch and will launch globally in June.
