The Redmi Note 9 lineup is already on sale
across the globe, but the non-Note lineup is yet to be introduced. According to
one leakster on Twitter, the Redmi 9 family will include four devices with
three names. They will all have the same 6.53” LCD with a 5MP selfie camera on
the front, as well as a 5,000 mAh battery, suggesting they might share a
similar footprint.
The Redmi 9A is the cheapest device, just
how the Redmi 8A was the most affordable Redmi 8-branded smartphone. It will
have a single 13MP camera on the back, 5MP selfie shooter, and 3/32GB memory.
On the inside we are looking at a Helio G25 chipset, while the screen will have
HD+ resolution. The Redmi 9 will feature Helio G70, four shooters (13MP + 8MP +
5MP + 2MP) and 4GB RAM, combined with 64 gigs of storage. The price is expected
to be between € 160 and € 180.
The Redmi 9C is where it gets interesting
- according to Sudhanshu1414, there will be a variant without NFC with three
cameras (13MP + 5MP + 2MP) and one with NFC but with two shooters (13MP + 2MP).
They share a Helio G35 chipset as well as the same price tag (€ 130-€ 150) -
Xiaomi is probably going to launch one of those on the global scene, while the
other might be exclusive to China.
Other specs that all devices will share
are a USB-C port, which is a breath of fresh air for these affordable phones,
3.5 mm audio jack, IR port, and a fingerprint scanner that might be on the
side, but could also make its way on the back panel.
