Samsung has added an interesting new TV to
its Lifestyle Home Entertainment portfolio called the The Terrace. It is an
outdoor focused 4K QLED TV, with many features like water resistance, high
brightness, anti-reflection coating, etc. and is also accompanied by a
soundbar.
Since it is designed to be used outdoors,
Samsung has certified The Terrace with IP55 water and dust resistance. It has a
peak brightness of 2000 nits that make it ideal to view content in broad
daylight and is claimed to be excellent to view high motion rate content like
sports. Other features include anti-reflection and adaptive picture technology.
Samsung will also bundle a sound bar to
accompany the 4K TV for a complete experience. It can deliver high quality
sound and deep bass with its in-built subwoofers. It also features distortion
canceling technology to improve sound clarity and has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
connectivity.
The Terrace comes in 3 sizes – 55, 66 and
75-inch models, priced at US$ 3,455, US$ 4,999 and US$ 6,499 respectively, and will be available
for purchase in U.S. and Canada today. Samsung will later roll out The Terrace
to Germany, Australia, New Zealand and other regions.
