Traditionally, LG has only offered large
sizes for their OLED TV lineup, however that is changing as they have announced
the launch of a 48-inch variant of their CX series OLED TVs in select European
and Asian markets. The TV supports many technologies like NVIDIA G-SYNC, HDMI
VRR, Dolby Atmos and more.
The 48-inch CX OLED TV has a 4K UHD (3840
x 2160) resolution, with support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision at up to 120 frames
per second for 4K UHD content. It also supports HDMI specific features like
auto low latency mode (ALLM), enhanced audio return channel (eARC) and variable
refresh rate (VRR).
For the people who like to game on the big
screen, LG has also certified the CX OLED to be capable of NVIDIA’s G-Sync,
making the display great for PC gaming. Console gamers will benefit too with
the HDMI VRR support. There is even an in-built profile HDR Gaming Interest
Group’s (HGiG) HDR gaming that reduces response time and activates VRR.
The other sizes in the CX series include
55, 65, 77 and 88-inch models. LG is releasing the OLED 48CX in select European
and Asian markets, and it will be available to North America soon.
