Over the last few
months, Lenovo had been teasing its first gaming smartphone, especially through
Weibo, a Chinese microblogging website. One of the most interesting ones was
the fact that the device can fast charge at rates up to 90W. And now, a new
report has shared screenshots of an unreleased teaser video that reveals more
tidbits regarding the Legion handset.
Looking at the
screenshots, Lenovo teases its 90W fast charging technology again, which will
be supported through two USB Type C ports (on the bottom and one of the sides
during gaming). Through this image, we can observe that the rear panel has an
LED flash right in the middle just below its dual camera setup which is also
placed uniquely near the center of the back panel. The overall aesthetics of
the device hints at gaming with angular designs that simulate speed and power
through 3D textures.
Among the leaked
screenshots, a few other details were also revealed. This includes Lenovo
Legion’s new uEngine technology, which is its symmetrical dual X-axis linear
vibration motor and hints at the device’s cooling and audio capabilities. The
gaming phone will reportedly feature a 3D cooling tower structure with dual
heat pipe partitions for long-lasting cooling. For audio, it will sport
positive stereo sound from its full symmetrical 65mm dual speakers, dual 0.6mm
amp speaker system, and 1.4cc large sound cavity.
Notably, the Legion
logo can also be observed on the back on top of which a side mounted popup
camera is also housed. The selfie camera’s placement is quite interesting, to
say the least, and the company probably made the move for a full front display
design. Furthermore, the report also revealed that the device carried the model
number L79031 and is codenamed “moba.” Unfortunately, this has yet to be
confirmed officially so stay tuned.
