iQOO unveiled the iQOO 3 5G back in
February in three colors - Volcano Orange, Tornado Black, and Quantum Silver.
Today, the Chinese phone maker brought a special edition of the iQOO 3 5G,
called iQOO 3 5G Transformers Limited Edition.
The iQOO 3 5G Transformers Limited Edition
shares the internals of the regular iQOO 3 5G but comes with an Autobots logo
on the back below which is the company logo and up top, right next to the
cameras, is the text that reads "Monster Inside".
The back panel has a carbon fiber look
that's likely just a special paint job under the glass. The rims of the
L-shaped quad camera module have a golden color accent, just like the frames
and volume rocker, with the power button on the right side painted with an
orange color.
The iQOO 3 5G Transformers Limited Edition
runs Android 10-based iQOO UI out of the box but it comes loaded with special
icons, wallpapers, and "interactive interfaces" customized to the
Transformers theme. Additionally, the Transformers Limited Edition arrives in a
special retail box which includes a Transformers-branded protective case and
charger.
The iQOO 3 5G Transformers Limited Edition
comes in a single 12GB/128GB configuration and will go on sale in China
starting June 1, which is also when we'll get to know its price. The regular
version with the same memory configuration is priced at CNY 3,798 (US$ 535/€ 490),
but we assume the Transformers Limited Edition will command a premium.
