Chinese manufacturing giant, Huawei,
released the Huawei MatePad Pro 5G outside China back in February. Now, there
are reports that this device is coming to China. Recent speculations claim that
this tablet will arrive in China on May 28th.
The MatePad Pro 5G hit the road at the MWC
conference in Barcelona just before the coronavirus pandemic took over
globally. One of the main features of the Huawei MatePad Pro 5G is its Kirin
990 5G Processor as well as the 5G support. The Kirin 990 5G SoC adopts the 7nm
+ EUV process to integrate the 5G Modem into the SoC for the first time. It is
also the world ’s first mobile terminal chip with more than 10.3 billion
transistors. In terms of specifications, the Kirin 990 5G chip uses the Cortex
A76 architecture as well as a 2 + 2 + 4 combination scheme. The main frequency
of the large-core CPU reaches 2.86GHz. The frequency of the middle-core CPU is
2.36GHz while the small core frequency is 1.95GHz. The GPU is Mali-G76 MP16.
The Huawei MatePad Pro 5G uses a 10.8 inch
16:10 ratio 2560 x 1600 resolution screen. Its maximum brightness is 540nit and
it has a 90% screen-to-body ratio. This tablet also supports Histen 6.0
multi-channel 3D stereo sound as well as four-channel & four-speaker audio
system. The body weighs only 492g and it uses a 3D graphene heat dissipation.
Furthermore, this device supports multi-screen coordination and parallel vision
technology. We also have the Huawei HUAWEI M-Pencil stylus on this one.
On the battery end, the Huawei MatePad Pro
5G comes with a 7250mAh large battery. This battery supports 40W wired fast
charging and 15W wireless fast charging.
