Realme was supposed to unveil its first
Smart TV for the Indian market at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) back in
February, which was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the
company's Indian CEO Madhav Sheth later confirmed that the Smart TV will arrive
in Q2 2020.
While we don't have an exact date for the
launch yet, it appears the Smart TV will go official soon despite the COVID-19
outbreak, since the remote control for the TV has been certified by Bluetooth
SIG.
The remote control sports model code RTRC1
and supports Bluetooth 5.0. The listing on the certifying authority's website
doesn't reveal any specs for the accessory, and neither does it explicitly
mention that this controller is for a Smart TV. But there's little reason for
us to believe it is meant for any other product.
Details are scarce about Realme's Smart
TV, but the television did bag certification by Bureau of Indian Standards
(BIS), confirming a QLED panel in the process and hinting at two sizes -
43" and 55".
