Chinese smartphone maker OPPO is gearing
up for an imminent launch of its next F15s smartphone in India once the
lockdown ends. And as per 91mobiles, it will be a rebranded version of the OPPO
A92.
Going into the details, some of the retail
supply chains in India have pointed out that OPPO F15s, could launch anytime
once the current lockdown ends on May 3. It is expected to be a rebranded
version of OPPO A92 that got certified recently in Indonesia and Singapore.
If we recall a few days back the rumoured
A92 got leaked in a Google Play Console database entry revealing the SOC and
RAM of the device. According to the listing, it will likely sport Qualcomm’s
Snapdragon 665 SOC and 8GB of RAM. The graphic duties will be handled by Adreno
610 GPU. Apart from this, the listing had some key specifications including an
FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 meaning above 400PPI. The handset
will also run Android 10 out of the box. Unfortunately, other details are
pretty scarce as of now and we’ll have to wait until the launch of A92.
The OPPO F15s smartphone is expected to be
a toned-down version of the F15 that launched recently. Hence we can expect the
pricing to be below INR 20,000. Keeping in mind the current COVID-19 crisis
situation and the recently increased GST for smartphones in India, it will be
interesting to see how OPPO prices the phone.
