The new Nokia phones from a couple of
weeks ago are now available for pre-order in the UK, but it will be a while
before you can have one. The phones appeared on British retailer Clove, which
shows prices and shipping dates, while the official Nokia site is still holding
off on accepting pre-orders.
The Nokia 1.3 will be out first, Clove
expects to have it in stock around April 16. It costs £80 and you can have it
in Charcoal, Cyan and Sand. There is only one memory configuration - 1GB of RAM
and 16GB storage (this is an Android 10 Go Edition phone).
The Nokia 5.3 is coming next month with
the first stock expected in early May. The 4/64GB model will cost you £150
(this phone provides the full-fat Android 10 experience). The color selection
is the same as the 1.3. Note that both are dual SIM models with dedicated
microSD card slots.
HMD's first 5G phone, the Nokia 8.3 5G,
won't be out until July. It costs £ 500, which works out to a bit less than the
€ 600 price tag for mainland Europe. HMD unveiled only one color option, but may
change its mind between now and July, there's plenty of time.
If you're looking for something simple,
even more so than the 1.3, HMD also resurrected the Nokia 5310. It's coming in
late April at £ 50.
