Honor announced the top-tier Honor 30 Pro+
with a 50MP camera and a 90Hz AMOLED display. At a live stream launch event,
Honor announced the new Honor 30 series that includes the vanilla 30, 30 Pro
and the top spec'd Honor 30 Pro+.
Both the 30 Pro and 30 Pro+ smartphone
models are running on the Kirin 990 5G CPU. The 30 Pro+ comes with 256GB of
internal storage with the option of either 8GB/12GB RAM. Stand-out features of
the Honor 30 Pro+ include the 90Hz 6.57-inch curved AMOLED display with a 180Hz
touch sampling rate and an under-display fingerprint scanner. It has a
capsule-shaped punch hole on the top left side that houses a 32MP main selfie
camera and an 8MP ultra-wide selfie camera.
It features a 50MP main camera, 16MP
ultra-wide camera, 8MP 5x telephoto periscope camera that allows up to 50x
hybrid zoom. It supports AI RAW photos and it records video footage up to 4K at
60fps. Inside is a 4,000mAh battery that supports 40W wired and 27W of wireless
charging and will come in either Black, Green, and Silver.
The HONOR 30 Pro+ comes in Midnight Black,
Green and Titanium Silver colors, is priced at 4999 yuan (US$ 707) for the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage version and the top-end 12GB RAM
with 256GB storage version costs 5499 yuan (US$ 778). All
these will be available in China from April 21st with pre-orders starting
today.
