Optoma, a leading brand in projection and
audio products has launched their flagship P1 4K ultra short throw-type
projector in India. The projector features a laser projection system, support
for HDR10, Dolby Digital 2.0, a built-in integrated sounder with Bluetooth
capabilities and more.
The Optoma P1 belongs to the ultra short
throw class of projectors. This means the projector is meant to be placed
extremely close to the projection surface with the capability of producing
images that are as large as 120 inches. Along with this, the projector also has
an in-built NuForce branded soundbar with Dolby Digital 2.0 support.
The projector uses a laser cinema
projection system instead a traditional lamp system that promises 20000 hours
of projection time, while maintaining its brightness levels of 3500 ANSI lumens
throughout its lifetime. It can project a 4K UHD (3,840 x 2,160) video output
with a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1. Regarding colour accuracy, it features
121% of the Rec.709 gamut coverage, 87%
of DCI-P3 coverage and is BT.2020 compatible.
For inputs, it features Connections HDMI
2.0×3 (HDCP 2.2 supported, HDMI 1 support ARC), USB-A 2.0×3, RJ45x1, S/PDIFx1
and an audio-out port. Other features include an image processing DLP 4K UHD
chip that avoids misalignment issues, Alexa and Google Assistant integration,
160 degree viewing angle and built-in PIR sensors that prevent reduce the
brightness if a child looks directly into the projector.
