It seems that HONOR will soon launch a
"lite" variant of the HONOR 9X. Based on the poster that appeared
online, the handset will feature a 48MP dual-camera setup. It has a tagline
that reads "Xtraordinary Photographer" suggesting that it is a
photography-focused handset. But since it is a lite version of the 9X, we can
expect it to be even more affordable.
The other interesting part about the phone
is its design. It shows that the HONOR 9X Lite will feature a familiar gradient
in a blue-green colorway, but with a rectangular-shaped camera bump which
contains the 48MP main camera, the unknown secondary camera (probably a depth
sensor), and the LED flash.
Next, this handset would probably feature
GMS (Google Mobile Services) instead of HMS (Huawei Mobile Services) found on
new Huawei/HONOR devices. To recall, 3 HONOR 9X lite devices with model numbers
JSN-L21, JSN-L22, and JSN-L23 got the Google Play certification.
Likely, it will still be powered by the
Kirin 710F chip to make it happen.
