Xiaomi “unveiled” its Watch
Color at the begging of the week without any specifications or pricing but now
we have all the details as the smartwatch has officially gone on sale in China.
It comes with a round AMOLED display, MIUI for Watch on top of Wear OS and an
array of colorful straps.
There’s also all the usual
fitness tracking modes, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC as well as heart-rate and sleep
tracking. The watch is swim-proof up to 5 ATM and has 14 day battery life with
typical use. The Watch Color comes with a circular 1.39-inch AMOLED display of
454 x 454 pixel resolution. It features a silicone strap which can be replaced
with 6 other silicone ones or two leather options. In terms of fitness
tracking, you get tracking for 10 distinct sports, including running, cycling,
mountain climbing as well as indoor and outdoor swimming.
Inside the Watch Color is a
420 mAh cell which Xiaomi claims can last up to 14 days on a single charge with
typical use and 22 days if you activate the endurance mode. It will come with
Black, and Silver casing options for now with a Gold one to follow. Pricing is
set at CNY 799 (US$ 115) but Xiaomi hasn’t provided any info on the Watch Color’s
international availability.
