BT (British Telecom) is the
largest internet service provider in the UK and the ISP is teaming up with
Google to bundle free Google Stadia membership for broadband customers. Just
last week, Google reportedly started testing Stadia on non-Pixel smartphones
and just yesterday, Google promised over 120 games are coming to Stadia this
year.
BT customers who sign up for a
Superfast Broadband 2, Ultrafast Fibre 100, or Ultrafast Fibre 250 will be
eligible for a free Google Stadia Premiere Edition plan. Google recommends at
least 35 Mbps for streaming Stadia in 4K (20 Mbps required for 1080p and 10Mbps
for 720p).
The Premiere Edition
controller normally costs £ 119 from the UK Google Store, and the Stadia Pro
membership costs £ 8.99 per month and supports 4K gaming @ 60fps in HDR. Signing
up for the Premiere Edition membership also includes the Clearly White Stadia
Controller, and a Chromecast Ultra.
