Much like with smartphones, car design has
gotten stale – the days of cars with rocket-like fins are long gone. That’s why
the Tesla Cybertruck caused such a stir, it was a radical departure of current
designs. Purveyors of luxury gadgets Caviar have carried the “cyber” design
over to their latest iPhone mod, hoping for an equally headline-grabbing
result.
“Cyberphone”
is based on the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max and has a Tesla-inspired angular
exterior made out of titanium. Unlike Caviar’s typical designs (which lean
towards decorative), this one is actually practical, believe it or not.
The screen is covered by a titanium plate,
which can flip down and around to the back to form a kickstand for the phone.
Flip it back up and you have excellent protection for the screen. Caviar will
only build 99 Cyberphones and will sell you a 64GB unit based on the iPhone 11
Pro for US$ 5,265. If you want the Max version or more storage, that will be
extra.
