The
Huawei P smart Pro was just unveiled and is already available in several
European countries. It’s not a totally new model, it’s essentially identical
with the Huawei Y9s, itself not too different from the Honor 9X (except for the
position of the fingerprint reader). Anyway,
the P smart Pro brings a 48MP main camera on a budget – it costs around € 350.
You can find it in Bulgaria (BGN 680), Croatia, Greece, Poland (PLN 1,400),
Ukraine (UAH 8000) and other countries.
The
other eye-catching camera is the 16MP pop-up camera, which leaves the 6.59” a
perfect rectangle with rounded corners and no unnecessary cutouts and holes.
Going back to the rear, there’s also an 8MP ultra wide-angle (120°) camera and
a 2MP depth sensor for bokeh shots.
The
screen is an LCD with 1080p+ resolution (19.5:9). Since the fingerprint reader
couldn’t be behind it, Huawei placed it on the side of the phone. Other things
to note on the sides of the phone are the 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom
and the USB-C port next to it. This can charge up the 4,000mAh battery at 10W.
The
Huawei P smart Pro is powered by the Kirin 710F chipset running EMUI 9.1. The
chipset is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage, which is
formatted with Huawei’s high-performance EROFS file system.
The
phone can be had in “Midnight Black” and “Breathing Crystal”. The glass back of
the latter features 21 layers of nano-textures, which create a smooth color
gradient.
