The Asus ROG Phone II is arguably the
most feature-packed smartphone on the market right now. It packs all the latest
and greatest components like a 120Hz refresh rate screen, Snapdragon 855+
chipset and UFS 3.0 storage. Up until now the device was only offered in its
12/512GB trim across Europe but starting today Asus is bringing two more
varieties.
Asus is naming these versions STRIX
and Ultimate Edition. The main difference here is in the RAM and storage
departments where the STRIX Edition comes in an 8/128GB trim while the Ultimate
Edition packs a 12 GB RAM and a generous 1TB storage.
In addition, the Ultimate version
comes with 802.11ad/60GHz Wi-Fi support and 4G LTE with up to 2.0Gbps Cat 20
download. The STRIX Edition sticks to 802.11ac Wi-Fi and LTE speeds up to 1Gbps
Cat 16 download. The Ultimate version also gets a sleek new matte finish on the
back instead of the glossy finish on the standard models.
The STRIX Edition will go for
£ 600/€ 700, while the Ultimate version will set buyers back £ 900/€ 1000. Both
versions are already up for purchase through the official Asus store.
