Sennheiser has announced the launch of their audiophile grade IE 80s
BT wireless earphones in India. Built on the same DNA as the IE 80S ear canal
headphones, Sennheiser has made a wireless version that claims to provide near
the same audio fidelity as its wired brother.
The earphones are
designed after the highly popular IE 80S, a earphone that is known for its outstanding accuracy and a
breath-taking soundstage. The earphones have an in-built AKM DAC to ensure the
earphones will perform with high sonic accuracy, powering its 10mm drivers and
neodymium magnets.
The earphones will
support hi-res codecs including LHDC, aptX HD, and AAC allowing the IE 80S BT
to process high bit rates so that the listener can enjoy uncompressed music
formats on par with wired performance. There is also support for aptX Low
Latency for synchronisation with video content.
The earphones sound
characteristic is engineered to be tonally balanced, however users can change
this via the Sennheiser Smart Control App, that gives the user controls over a
intuitive 5-band equalizer and a bass adjustment tool to boost the bass on the
earphone directly.
Being a Bluetooth
earphone, the IE 80S BT offers controls for music on the band with a dedicated
button to trigger voice assistants like Siri and Google Assistant. The
earphones also feature noise reduction technology using the inbuilt mics for
making clear calls and communication with voice assistants.
It will come with a
carrying case, a selection of ear adapters made from silicone, silicone
lamellar and ComplyTM Memory Foam in a choice of three sizes and Sennheiser
claims a battery life of 6 hours on a single charge. The earphones are available for
purchase online at Amazon.in and in offline stores for a price of Rs. 39,990
