When Realme first announced its entry into the
European market, it brought a worthy contender with it. The Realme X2 Pro is
the brand’s first high-end flagship set to compete against Xiaomi, Honor, and
OnePlus devices in newly explored markets. Pre-orders for the Realme X2 Pro
opened on Monday November 4 for European customers.
The X2 Pro is a departure from the company’s initial
focus on entry and mid-range devices. It’s design is somewhat similar to that
of the OnePlus 7T Pro, but there are some notable differences in hardware like
beefier camera, faster charging standard, and runs Color OS.
Starting with the camera, the X2 Pro uses a Samsung
GW1 64MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture and outputs 16MP images with pixel binning.
This is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera, 13MP telephoto unit, and 2MP
depth sensor.
There’s a 6.5-inch Fluid AMOLED display with 90Hz
refresh rate and FHD+ resolution with an embedded in-display fingerprint
scanner. The X2 Pro runs a Snapdragon 855+ and 6, 8, or 12GB of RAM and has a
4,000 mAh battery compatible with 50W SuperVOOC fast charge support. It also
supports Quick Charge 3 and USB-C Power delivery – a convenient combination of
standards.
Realme announced very competitive pricing for the X2
Pro. It starts at € 399 for the 6GB/64GB configuration, maxes out at 12GB/256GB
for € 499 and comes in Neptune Blue and Lunar White for EU.
