The League of Legends 2019 World
Championship had its final after over a month of competition in Paris. At the
event, Oppo, the sponsor of the tournament, showcased its latest Oppo Reno2
Zoom smartphone.
In the tournament that kicked-off on 2nd
October in Berlin, 24 teams were competing in a series of epic death matches.
As a sponsor of the tournament, the smartphone company Oppo had set up
experience booth from November 5th-10th. It also presented the Most Valuable
Player (MVP) award and showcased its smartphone.
Oppo League of LegendsThe company
officially announced in September that it had became the exclusive global
smartphone partner for LoL Esports international events, which includes The
World Championship, Mid-Season Invitational, and All-Star Event.
Notably, this is a long-term partnership
and Oppo has already signed on for five years. The company said that it is
eagerly looking forward to further cooperation with the global Esports event
and added that there’s much more in store, including a whole host of
activations surrounding The World Championship, Mid-Season Invitational, and
All-Star Event – with more to be announced.
Oppo said that this long-term alliance
with League of Legends publisher Riot Games lasts through 2024. This further
marks the company’s exploration in the field of Esports, broadening existing
sports and entertainment sponsorships. League of Legends Esports joined the
list of sports partners for Oppo, which includes Wimbledon, FC Barcelona, the
International Cricket Council as well as another mobile Esports tournament –
the Tencent Playerunknown Battle Ground Mobile Challenger Cup.
Through this partnership, League of
Legends Esports aims to further enhance fans’ live event and viewing
experiences around its global sporting events, while Oppo’s commitment allows
them to better engage with the growing player base of the world’s top Esport.
